Buildings &
architectural spaces

Lighting affects the way we experience buildings and architecture. An intelligent and successful lighting design accentuates form and design and shapes the atmosphere of the construction. When planning architectural landscape lighting, it is important to consider the use and function of a building or a space and how to complement and enhance the aesthetics. Design with outdoor wall lamps, bollards, or lampposts to ensure the desired experience of the building or architectural space.

At Louis Poulsen we are aware that more urban areas are striving to minimize light pollution and preserve the natural darkness. Louis Poulsen is proud to announce that we now offer a range of post tops designed to meet the growing demands for dark sky compliant lighting. Our collection of dark sky post tops adheres to the guidelines established by DarkSky International.

Louis Poulsen’s outdoor product portfolio offers solutions to complement and enhance spaces around building from the thoroughly classic to the ultra-modern. They accentuate our sense of a place’s history and context, and give us a new perspective on structures we might overlook in the daytime. At the same time, our wall, bollard, post and other outdoor designs address the many areas outside a building that require thoughtful illumination to ensure the desired overall experience and flow, from courtyards, pathways and entryways to the buildings themselves.
