Jomfrustien — Haderslev, Denmark

Jomfrustien in Haderslev, Denmark, is a new city park designed to help make the city more climate-resilient while also offering a green oasis for residents. Its unique location also helps connect the historic town center with the new, modern harbor district in a natural and harmonious way.

 

Flindt Bollard and Flindt Plaza have been used in the project to ensure safety and visibility both along the path and in the surrounding parking areas.

 

The park features open lawns, lush plantings that boost biodiversity, as well as new and old trees and basins that can hold up to 6,500 cubic meters of water in future floods. The low profile of the Flindt design helps promote the park's biodiversity, as the functional lighting is directed solely at the path and not at the surrounding natural areas.
