Minneapolis based Small Hours spins records and pours wine in a space focused on beauty and intimacy. With equally extensive offerings of food, wine, and music, Small Hours strives to present an experience where guests can step out of their comfort zone and try something new.
During the evening, a diverse selection of tunes waft through Small Hours’ high fidelity audio equipment and rotary mixers. Paired with an “intensely personal” wine list featuring underrated grape varieties and those from Eastern Europe, the space is at once welcoming and lively.

Why did you choose these Louis Poulsen products for the space?
We chose to work with Louis Poulsen products because we believe they reflect our desire for understated beauty. As a whole, these pieces are able to let our concept shine, but upon closer inspection they are details that illustrate the careful consideration with which each design choice was made.

What does "good lighting" mean to you and how do you achieve it?
To us, good lighting creates an ease and comfort in the space. With such a small yet open space, we utilize lighting to create a sense of intimacy and a feeling of privacy for each table.

Where do you find design inspiration?
We find inspiration from natural materials and the practical applications of our space. Our primary concern is the comfort of our guests and we look toward creating a feeling of ease in the space. In this way the music and wine can be the focus. We find that warm tones and pared down design were the best way to achieve our vision.
