In a 200-square-meter 1970s house nestled in the Danish countryside, Johanne Landbo has created a home that feels intentional, expressive, and serene. A content creator behind the Instagram profile @femte.til.venstre, Johanne Landbo shares the space with her daughter and husband, a photographer, and together they craft beautiful, carefully composed visuals.
Johanne appreciates clarity and calm in her space. She values clean surfaces, minimal clutter, and a few carefully chosen pieces that reflect her personality. Saturated colours paired with wood add warmth and character to her surroundings.
“It is important that our space feels warm and welcoming even though we live with less things. We love colors against soft interior and wood.”
Lighting plays a central role in shaping the mood, depth, and function of her home. Soft, low light warms the living room, while the kitchen is bright and practical. Small decorative lights bring each space together beautifully.
Having grown up with Louis Poulsen, she sees the lamps as quality statement pieces to be passed down through generations.
“Louis Poulsen is a brand I’ve known my whole life. My grandfather always brought one of the classic lamps with him from home to home. It is amazing how effortlessly the design fits, whether it’s in his traditional house, a 70s-style home like ours, or even a modern apartment.”
“The Eklipta Wall lamps outside on our terrasse walls create a warm atmosphere in the dark nights, where there are no streetlights to interfere with the dark.”
“The VL studio lamp lights the space in the evening when the big window is dark.”
"The VL45 portable lamp is perfect for adding a touch of extra light, whether it’s on the bedside table or on the coffee table while enjoying a cup of tea in the afternoon."
